Microsoft’s cloudy future…
July 13, 2007
This is a great article by Steven Musil highlighting yet again that Microsoft seems to have lost its way a bit in terms of strategic direction. This is the bottom line:
“In an effort to rally its partners around the reality of hosted software, Microsoft Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner told them it was a matter of financial life and death. ‘We have to change faster internally than the world is changing externally, or we will be obsolete,’ Turner said, as part of his speech, which kicked off the Microsoft conference.”
More focused targets with great execution would be a lot better than what appears to be trying to ‘do everything’ but with only average results.
