The State of the Net is… not so strong

Consumer Reports takes a look at the State of the Net and finds that viruses, spyware, and phishing have cost Americans $7 billion over two years and have led 1.8 million households to replace their PCs. That doesn’t even account for all the money people spend to purchase products advertised in spam.
