1 million+ unlocked iPhones? You betcha!
January 31, 2008

Apple does not have an overstocked inventory problem. In fact, if they’re not careful, they could have a supply problem. Perhaps in the States it’s hard to imagine so many unlocked iPhones because you hardly ever see any. Outside the US (and UK, Germany, France etc.) unlocked iPhones are all we see - and we see a lot of them!
1.1.3 OTB - Unlocking the phone function is not possible… yet. (Updated!)
January 30, 2008

A number of people I have spoken to don’t seem to realise that unlocking the 1.1.3 OTB iPhone is simply not possible yet. You can get into it without going through the official Activation process, but essentially it becomes no more than a glorified ‘iPod touch’. Will it happen the future? Maybe - but I suspect it may be a while…
1.1.3 Jailbreak Works (for early BootLoader iPhones)
January 25, 2008

Mad as I was to try so quickly after it was released, I did. And, on my previously jailbroken and unlocked (IPSF) 1.1.2 phone, it worked. Flawlessly (for me at least). Hats off to Nate True and the Dev Team! Fantastic work!
Apple’s newer iPhones are simply harder to hack
January 24, 2008

If you have a more recent iPhone (serial number with digits 4 and 5 greater than ‘44′), you will most likely have the latest ‘Bootloader‘ installed (4.6). This one small change by Apple is proving to be quite a show-stopper for would-be unlockers…
Apparently, optical drives (even Blu-ray) are so passe…
January 18, 2008

With the release of the Macbook Air, Apple is striking new ground in the move away from ‘wires’. Instead, a completely wire-less approach is apparently now ‘plat du jour’ - and clearly, this approach is focused on driving revenue opportunities from downloads (starting of course, with Movie Rentals). So rather than in-built super-slim Blu-ray drives, perhaps Apple’s next round of Macbooks and Macbook Pros won’t have in-built optical drives at all?
Macworld Keynote - Ok, cool. But where’s the rest?
January 16, 2008

Perhaps its the ridiculous pre-keynote hype or simply the amazing over-coverage, but I have to admit I am slightly disappointed with the ‘four’ key announcements by Steve’s Macworld Keynote…
