Is Apple ready to embrace developers for the iPhone?

According to one report Tuesday morning, yes. BusinessWeek cites sources ‘familiar with the company’s plans’ who say Apple will officially release a software development kit for the iPhone in early 2008. Those sources say the official announcement could come during Steve Jobs’ keynote at the annual Macworld Expo on January 15.
If this is true, then Apple should be applauded. Many, many iPhone users will be extremely grateful. Let’s see if it happens…

Is it possible that New Zealand ISP Orcon is working to bring the Apple iPhone to New Zealand? There are rumours going around about this possibility.

iPhone ‘bricking’ creates user controversy

All I can say at this point is - there must be far more money riding on the Apple/AT&T contract than we think. It must be worth an absolute fortune to Steve Jobs - because he seems to be willing to sacrifice the satisfaction of significant numbers of existing Apple fans with the recent (and possibly intentionally malicious) iPhone 1.1.1 update.
